About Dr. Devraux Boshard, DO

Board-certified child & adolescent and adult psychiatrist, trained at OHSU.

Dr. Devraux Boshard, smiling, in front of a brick wall

I founded Alpenglow Psychiatry to offer the kind of care I would want for my own family: unhurried, thoughtful, and grounded in evidence. I see children, teens and adults. Most of my visits combine medication management with focused therapy, and I offer longer therapy sessions for some patients.

Training

  • Child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship, Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU)
  • General psychiatry residency, University of Hawaii
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in psychiatry and in child & adolescent psychiatry

How I work

My focus is anxiety, OCD, depression and sleep problems. I'm trained in cognitive behavioral therapy with exposure and response prevention (ERP), cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing and supportive therapy, and I tailor treatment to each person rather than fitting them to a single method.

With young patients, I take a family-centered approach. Parents are partners in the work, and I coordinate with pediatricians, therapists and schools when families want me to.
