Psychiatric care for adults

I see adults for evaluation, therapy and medication management, with the same unhurried, collaborative approach I bring to younger patients.

What I treat in adults

  • Anxiety, panic and obsessive-compulsive disorder
  • Depression and mood changes
  • Insomnia and other sleep problems
  • Trauma-related symptoms
  • Stress around major life transitions

I am not currently accepting new adults for ADHD evaluation.

Young adults

The years from 18 to 25 bring college, first jobs and new independence, and they are a common time for anxiety and depression to surface or return. My training in child and adolescent psychiatry helps me understand how symptoms began, and teens already in my care can continue with me past 18.

How care works

Your first visit is a comprehensive evaluation. From there we decide together on therapy, medication, or both. I am trained in psychodynamic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), including exposure and response prevention, motivational interviewing and supportive therapy.

Not sure where to start?

A free 15-minute phone consultation is a low-pressure way to talk through what is going on and whether my practice is a good fit.
